What a larger tank such as this means is that those of you that vape regularly or heavily will find yourself not having to refill the tank/bottle as often as you might with a generic e cigarette. More often than not the e liquid bottles/tanks included are made from silicone although you do still see some that are made from plastic. Plastic seems to be slowly on its way out for a number of reason though, not least that strongly flavoured e liquids such as citrus or aniseed flavours have been known crack plastic tanks and bottles over time.

What Makes Squonking So Popular

First of all, the 10ml bottle capacity is much larger than many other atomizers etc. With new (May 2017) EU TPD restrictions capping the maximum size of a tank at 2ml, the amount of e liquid in a refill at no more than 10ml and nicotine within a pre-mixed e liquid at a maximum of 20mg/ml, some vapers have been frustrated. The larger bottle in a squonk mod is perfect for those thwarted by smaller tanks.  They are also proving popular with those looking to buy short fill e liquids. On top of this, squonk mods are known to amplify flavour intensity. This is largely due to the way that RDAs or Rebuildable Dripping Atomizers work. Dripping liquids bit by bit onto a wick is something advanced vapers have been doing for a while.  They will however be the first to admit that this kind of customisation can get quite messy, be fiddly and take up valuable vaping time. A squonk mod cuts out the extra work.  It offers a fresh flavour, saves time, effort, amplifies flavours and can be a real boon for those who like a big vape cloud.

A squonk mod can be a great addition to your vaping arsenal. While it doesn’t take over from the standalone RDAs or RTDAs (which boast a range of their own benefits), squonking tends to pick out the best of both of these options for vapers with specific goals.
