E Cigarettes are Easy To Use, Honest!
Smoking seems very easy. You open a pack, you light up a cigarette and you take a drag. Yes, it is easy to smoke, however, that ease comes with a whole range of worrying side effects, not least the fact that WHO (World Health Organisation) has classed a great number of the chemicals within tobacco cigarettes as being both toxic and as having the potential to cause cancer. Learning a few new terms and a slightly different way to enjoy a hobby is worth it when you consider the health implications.

First Up, Buy a Vaping Kit
You can buy a basic vaping starter kit from around £20. They have everything you need to get started with vaping. Some have e liquids, some don’t but to be fair, with 99p e liquid available you don’t need to splash out to get started. As long as you have a starter kit with an e cigarette, a battery, some e juice and a charger, you are good to go. It’s not worth worrying at this point about different devices and so on. If you are just getting started all you need is to master the ins and outs of vaping and you’ll see that e cigarettes are easy to use indeed.
Choose Some Cheap E Liquids
While it might be tempting to buy 30,000 e liquids and really go to town with fabulous new flavours it really isn’t necessary. Start slow and upgrade your device and try new flavours as time goes on. Our recommendation is to buy a handful of e liquids spanning a few flavour groups and base types. For example, perhaps a tobacco e liquid, dessert e liquid, something fruity, menthol if it floats your boat and then a mix of base types. Choose some high VG e liquid for a smoother vape which offers big vape clouds and a 50%/50% PG/VG mix for a firmer throat hit and a touch more clarity of flavour.
You can also choose your nicotine level but a word of caution here, don’t go too high. If you vape too high a level of nicotine compared to what you are used to it can make you feel quite poorly. You may feel nauseous, struggle with a bad headache and generally really quite poorly. The best bet if switching from smoking to vaping is to choose the same nicotine level that you are used to. You can always reduce it step by step over time, eventually enjoying zero nicotine flavoured e liquid if that’s your aim.
Set Up Your E Cigarette
E cigarettes are easy to use once you have them properly set up and sorted. That means reading the instructions. While many e cigarettes, especially those that come in a starter kit are very similar, you still need to check with the manufacturer instructions to make sure that you’ve put everything together properly so there’s no leaking e liquid and so that you may enjoy a disruption-free vaping experience. Once your e cigarette is set up, your tank is loaded up with your new favourite less than £1 e liquid and you’re charged, you are ready to see what the fuss is about.
Practice Your Technique
Some e cigarettes are activated by taking a draw, however, most involve pressing a button before doing so, to activate it (check the instructions). Keep your inhales steady, there’s no rush, and just spend some time getting to know your device, your vapour and your new hobby. Vaping is not the same as smoking so of course the action is going to be slightly different, as is the taste. Keep practicing, read up about how to get the most out of your vape and before you know it, you’ll wonder why you ever bothered smoking once vaping became a thing.
